Coffee table designed by iconic French designer Jean-Claude Mahey (signed on base) during the 1970 / 80s. Chunky proportions and incredibly heavy, this piece is constructed from a combination of light coloured cherry and elm to provide a subtle contrast with sunken central section lined with smoked mirror, perfect for storing items or planter.
Good vintage condition, some light wear on the varnish in places but nothing significant. On the sunken section there is hairline cracks on the corners but this is on the varnish not the wood, and a natural result of drying over many years.
