Exceptional lounger designed by André Dubreuil, constructed from hand-forged wrought iron with a dramatically scrolled back and arms, curved slatted seat. Coloured in rich brass pigment.
Upholstered throughout in original burnt-orange velvet, worn but structurally intact. The form is in the tradition of the French decorative ironwork studios of the 1940s — in the manner of Gilbert Poillerat or Raymond Subes — though unsigned. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use (cushion not waterproof).
Good vintage condition, and structurally sound, rust free - the cushion shows light wear mainly in the way of some missing buttons.
