A bold pair of expressionist works on canvas depicting jazz musicians — a trombonist and a saxophonist — rendered in confident yellow, white and black gestural brushwork against dark grounds. Both signed and dated lower right (partially legible, appears 1969). Sold as a pair, unframed beyond simple black edge framing. Strong graphic presence, well suited to a large wall.
Good vintage condition, there is some wear on the paintwork in places just where it has dried over the years (all has been glued to ensure stability and not further flaking) , and on each painting there is one small repaired rip in the canvas, completely solid.
